This Little Piggie... and Foot Massages

Melanie has discovered a helpful way to get Whitney over her terrible intolerance of people touching her feet.  That's been a terrible problem in the past when bathing or trimming her toenails.  Melanie has started going through each of Whit's toes:

"This little piggie went to market.
This little piggie stayed home.
This little piggie had roast beef.
This little piggie had none.
This little piggie cried WEE WEE WEE all the way home."

Then Mel tickles up her leg.  Whitney laughs and laughs.  It seems to take her mind off the fact that her feet are very sensitive and she hates having them touched.

As a side note, massaging the bottom of Whitney's feet is something we've started to do before we do standing practice.  The physical therapist says it will help Whit to be more aware of her feet while she's working out.  So before Melanie works with her, it's the little piggies and a foot massage.  So far Whit will go about 15 seconds of standing free before tipping over, but it's progress.  I'm sure one day she'll be standing for as long as she likes without any help.  Hopefully the little piggies will help her get there.
